The Confinement Lady - Part 3

Yuhuuu...

I am so sorry for the long silence. I know some of you are waiting for my review right? So here is the quick one.

As soon as Kak Liza arrive at my house, she will boiled the dauns (she bought it herself) for my herbal bath.

Then she cooked my confinement meal including rice. She will suggest what type food you can eat and you just have to buy the groceries and she'll do the rest. You can eat ikan bawal, tenggiri, selar or jenahak for the first few weeks. Later on you can eat chicken and meat. And as for veges, Kak Liza only suggest to eat sawi and sawi and sawi. Avoid veges which have 'angin' or 'sejuk'. Maybe it depends on your hearsay or petua from your parents but I just followed whatever she said. Ngee..

Kak Liza is so kind she even brought her own 'lesung batu' since I don't have that in my house. *blushing* And she said she can even bring along her grill pan if I manage to get some banana leaves to cook grilled fish or chicken. Alas, my husband couldn't find any banana leaves but thats ok though. Oh, she also served the meal on the table for you. Hhmmmm.. :)

Kak Liza bathe my baby everyday. She even massage and 'tuam' my baby boy with 'daun mengkudu to avoid 'angin'. I guess my baby like a little pamper before he is left aside during my massaging session.

My massaging session is about an hour every single day. And Kak Liza's touch is very soothing and the pressure is always right. I did not have any 'bengkak macam batu' on my breast anymore as compared to my other confinement period on 2008 and 2010. And the rest of my body is so relax and relieved during and after every massage session.

If my baby kinda 'merengek' during massage, Kak Liza will stop and help me feed my baby because my body was all oily. I usually prepared a bottle of breastmilk earlier and Kak Liza will warm it for me. How nice isn't it?

After massage, she will 'tungku' some spots for a while and rub some 'kapur sirih' mixed with lime juice on your belly before tying a bengkung. Its a traditional remedies to slim down your belly after delivery.

Kak Liza prepared a home-made jamu for me every day. Its not the kind with dauns. Its a manjakani, ginger, black pepper etc, boiled in a water. And I just have to drink that at my own pace. Hehe..

Ok, this is my personal experience with her and I am happy with her service. But please, if you wanna book any confinement lady, better you try an antenatal massage first. If you satisfy, proceed. If not, search for someone else. I do not want to get the blame if you are not satisfy with Kak Liza's service. I am not her agent anyway. LOL. I am just sharing my experience.

By the way, Kak Liza told me that she gets a few calls saying that they get her numbers from my blog. Hi you and you and you *waving*..

And this is Kak Liza, my confinement lady, on her last day. *sobs sobs* (Please ignore my baby boy's pink kain bedung. I ran out of the blue ones that day hahaha)

If I get pregnant again, I will call you akak. Don't change your handphone number ok *hugs*..

Rock The World

>> Friday, August 17, 2012

Yuhuuu...

I am still in my confinement period but that does not exclude me from being crazy over Jovian's Rock The World (RTW) raya collection. Oopsie! It's actually Jovian's Ready To Wear collection but I prefer to call it Rock The World as it is a cray cray at the moment. Ngeee...

I managed to grab not one but TWO pieces of Jovian RTW via Zalora. My first purchase went well but my second one had some problem with the payment system. Luckily, they settled it within few days and yeay, I am a happy customer once again.

Though I am head over heels with most of the design but I had to think about my lifestyle as a breastfeed mom so I need loose clothing to feed my baby anytime he wants. So I settled down with these two Miss J.

This is Miss Jasmine..

And this is Miss Jaida..

I am not sure if I wanna wear these beauties during Hari Raya due to my current body size and shape. Hahaha.. But these can be my determination to get my pre pregnancy shape back. Wish me luck!

Kudos to Mr. Jovian Mandagie and his team for making it happen. You all rocks!!

38 Weeks

>> Wednesday, July 11, 2012

Yuhuuu...

Alhamdulillah.. Today I am officially 38 weeks pregnant. I am so grateful that I am in the pink of health. Well, besides the natural body ache here and there, I am completely healthy. My baby is doing great as well. Keep on moving inside making me sure that everything is OK.

Anyway, I am glad that I took some effort to snap a pic of myself during my pregnancy. I can see the development of my body. I feel beautiful though nowadays I walk like a penguin. Hahaha..
 Beautiful Changes

I am counting days to my labor. Well, I did not have any signs of labor on my previous pregnancy. I don't know how its gonna be this time around. Sure that I wanna feel the 'sign of labor moment' and I have to rush to the hospital and yada yada yada.. But we'll see how it goes.. Pray for the safety of me and my baby. InsyaAllah..
